Student Support Services

Airport Pick-up facilities
The college offers airport pickup services to college students who are arriving to UK for the first time. Students are requested to inform the College about their arrival date, time and name of airlines with flight number at least two weeks before of their arrival time.

Accommodation
It is a challenging job to find out suitable accommodation in London. The college helps students to find the best & suitable possible accommodation at reasonable cost. The college arranges one week accommodation to students after arrival in London upon requests.

Public Transport
Travel cards can be bought for use within London on trains, undergrounds, buses and on the London Dockland Light Railways. If students travel regularly on public transports, it will be cheaper to buy a travel card rather than buying single tickets. London transport offers 30 percent discount travel card to full-time students over the age of 18 years with certification from the college.

Medical Care
All overseas students are required to be registered with a Doctor (GP) closer to where they are living as soon as they arrive in the UK and entitled to have free medical treatment in an emergency throughout the UK under the National Health Service (NHS). The college guides students how they can avail themselves of this facility.

Student ID Card
The college issues ID cards to all admitted students after reporting with free of cost. Students need College ID card to prove their identity as and when necessary such as joining the library, voting to the Student Union elections etc.

Student Banking
The college assists students to open bank account after confirmation of their address in the UK to the college. The college provides all necessary documents to obtain a student bank account.

Job Guidance
The college assists students to find part-time jobs. Students can work up to 20 hours per week during the term-time and any hours during vacation. All international students need a National Insurance (NI) number for getting the job and TCCOL provides related documents to students for getting NI number.

Payment Options
The college gives opportunities to the students to receive quality education at very competitive rate. The college offers students the opportunity to pay their tuition fees in installments.

Students' Counseling
Counseling can help to understand student's difficult experiences, feelings and behaviour. TCCOL organizes face to face counseling session to all students to cope up with new environment & tries to support students through resolving their problems, focusing on what is troubling them. This face to face counseling method gives an opportunity to think and talk about their difficulties in a thoughtful way which can not only bring a sense of relief but also help them to make meaningful changes to their life and interactions.

London is a big and exciting metropolitan city in the United Kingdom which permits students to achieve a great experience through adapting with the UK's environment.

Climate
Weather in London is unpredictable. It can be cool from September to March. So, students have to bring sufficient warm clothes to wear when arrive. December to February is the coldest months when it can snow and the temperature can drop to as low as -30 C. June to August are the warmest month when the average temperature can rise to as high as 370 C. Students can check local weather at www.bbc.co.uk/weather

Food
The UK is a multicultural society and people from all over the world living in London. Therefore, the supermarkets maintain stock a wide range of foodstuffs to meet up the demands of people coming from all over the world.
