Pearson Language Tests (PLT), is part of Pearson plc, the world's leading international education and information company. PLT also delivers Pearson Test of English General (PTE General) and Pearson Test of English Young Learners (PTE Young Learners) in association with one of the UK's largest examining bodies, Edexcel. ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
The ACCA professional scheme is a highly relevant and targeted combination of study and practical experience. The syllabus is a result of extensive research and consultation with governments, students, colleges and employers from a range of public and private sector organizations.
UK Professional Examination Route entry criteria
A level and 3 GCSE (5 separate subjects including English & Mathematics), CAT Level B / Intermediate level (complete), AAT (UK) Intermediate (complete), BTEC National Certificate (any subject), Advanced GNVQ (any subject), NVQ Level 3 / 4 (any subject), Degree (from a recognized institution in any subject ), ACCA Certified Diploma in Accounting & Finance/Diploma in Financial Management (complete).
A Mature Student Entry Route (MSER) is also available to those who do not meet the entry requirements above. If you are over 21 years old and do not fulfil the entry requirements of the Professional Examination Route, you will automatically be considered for the MSER (Mature Student Entry Route). In order to register CAT, there are no formal academic qualifications necessary. In the case of preliminary stage, all the three levels of Certified Accounting Technician examinations have to be completed. You may claim exemption from the Introductory Level exams if you satisfy the one year practical work experience requirement and can verify this by completing your Technician Training Record (TTR), which will be sent to you when you have registered as a CAT student.
BCS (British Computer Society)
BCS was created in 1957 to bring together a number of different groups to try and deliver on the grand dream of making all aspects of computing into a compelling public benefit.
BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (formerly known as British Computer Society), is to enable the information society. BCS promote wider social and economic progress through the advancement of information technology science and practice.
C. COLLEGE WORKFORCEThe college gives high priority to both teaching and administrative services. It has suitably qualified academic personnel who are dedicated to carrying teaching responsibilities with care & professionalism. All Faculty members are high standards of competence and performance in both areas. The college has also highly qualified and experienced administrative team to oversee the overall administration of the college. The Administration team provides full administrative support to deal with all aspects of administration relating to student admission, enrolment, and on-going student record maintenance, students counseling, providing guidance to students, organize and administer courses. The team also provides a reception service for visitors replying with all possible enquiries. D. LIBRARY AND COMPUTING
TCCOL offers integrated library facility and computing facilities to students. It procures recommended texts and reference books for the modules of all academic faculties. The college helps students to obtain membership of local Idea Store and a member can use their Online Reference Library, for free, 24-hour access to a growing number of subscription reference resources. The college also helps students to obtain membership nearby local and national libraries to access a very wide range of facilities. Qualified staff assists students to find out the information to each academic field, in both electronic and printed media and help student to access that information. TCCOL also have online library facilities and have a list of websites related to academic fields. A wide range of computer software like word-processing, spreadsheets, data bases, PowerPoint and graphics presentation are available for all students and have free access to email, web & printing facilities.
E. ENGLISH LANGUAGEInternational students are required to take part in supplementary English Language course after determining the level of English prior to start of their main course. This is particularly useful for students who are not acquainted with the British Educational System. TCCOL has the opportunity to permit all international students to take part in English Language classes as a tool for improving marketability and communication skills. F. ADMINISTRATIONTCCOL has a team of administration comprising of qualified and experienced academicians, engineers, accountants and different office executives to oversee the overall administration of college. |
